AS Roma/GISS clinic, Sydney
The first ever Sydney clinic will be held in the March-April school holidays. Nick Bosevski (ex-Sydney Olympic player, who played in Europe for 3 years in Sweden and Belgium) and Toni Halilovic, who played in Holland and is now a Sydney based FIFA agent, met with GISS director Morris Pagniello and AS Roma officials at the AS Roma headquarters in December to finalise arrangements for the Sydney clinic, which will begin April 5, following a free AS Roma Clinic on Sunday April 4. Further details will be announced soon, but you can register your interest now.

Guest coaches for the 2010 clinic include AS Roma Technical Director Maurizio Turone, GISS Director Morris Pagniello, Marco Montresor - ex-national youth coach of Valencia, Ternana, Gubbio, Hellas Verona and current u21s Italian national team scout. Possibly the most exciting initiative in youth soccer in the Asia-Pacific region has seen AS Roma Calcio establish a presence in Melbourne, Australia. With the collaboration of Genova International School of Soccer (GISS) and sponsorship partners, this unique development brings new skills and understanding to the game of football for many young Australians. Through the regular presentation of professional skills clinics under the guidance of internationally recognised players and coaches, AS Roma Australia will establish a process which ensures that a good number of young players experience the best that AS Roma and European football has to offer.
This project builds on an ongoing relationship with AS Roma Calcio, and through enhancing that relationship establishes a bridge between Australia and Italy in order to provide real prospects for talented young Australian players.
AS Roma Australia represents the first ever AS Roma Calcio presence anywhere outside Italy. Close collaboration between Australian staff, and the staff of AS Roma Calcio will ensure that the highest professional standards associated with the game of football are brought to bear in the development of Australian players, and in the development of football in Australia.
